And now I am back down to work—in the workshop I started two pieces and I am finishing others. I have a total of 10 pieces in the flow right now. I may have finished 2 yesterday but will determin that on Monday. Let me share my stuff with you now.
These are the 2 possible finishes… I feel the Orange splashes may have been a bit overdone on the left image and the right image may need a bit of added calmness and break up of the whitest riffles.
36 x 54 start just structure and directional brush work. The next layer will introduce the needed value drama.
This 40 x 30 has the value and structure now I start to build the painting. Here are the bones the largest blocks of color and value with exciting anc chaotic brush work. The next layer will start the finsih. I am thinking Tree and tree reflection, a carved and diminishing river bank with a suggested high country mountain profile to support an exciting sky.
This is the next to be worked on and finished. On the right is where it was and on the left is a start and indication of where I would like to direct it.
